Cancellations/postponements happen all the time on various tours. Springsteen had to postpone a few shows, Van halen postponed two months of shows. Shit happens people!!! Avril, I hope you feel better real soon!

Avril can't help it if she's sick, we all get sick. i'm sick right now. she didn't ask to be sick. cause i'm really sure she wan't to be sick in bed rather than doing what she loves. honestly, give her a break. if you think she sucks or you're mad because she can't make it to the show, then you really aren't an Avril fan

I still have yet to hear and apology from Avril? Sure they told us at last moment that the show was postpone (meaning cancelled) but is she sorry at all? Even if it does happens that she is sick or what ever. I don’t care what the full story is any more. Any decent human being would have said sorry to her hurt and broken fans. She has not apologized at all which make me feel like she doesn’t care about us and that’s what hurts the most! When you get sick, do you not apologize to your boss and co workers? When you hurt your love ones, significant others, and friends for some thing that may not even be you fault, you still not feel bad and do you not apologize? Why isn’t she sorry? Why?

I feel bad for Avril's San Diego fans if this concert is completely canceled instead of just postponed, and if Avril is sick I hope she gets better.

She is suppose to be on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno tonight (May 1, NBC) so maybe she might say something about this concert there.

I don't know whether the tickets sales in San Diego are poor or not.
I still don't know the truth yet, so maybe I can say nothing.
But guys, PLZ be calm.

If there's a real throat problem with her, and we guys just show our anger, saying something rude
imagine how sad she'll feel. We should stand by her side when she's in low.

She does care her fans, that's the thing we can't deny.
And if the kind of saying is partly true that it's not because of illness, as her fans, we must have known her personality.
The personality we used to be fond of, thinking that is so cool.

What we should do is to let her know that her fans will always be with her. Let her know she should love her fans.
Then maybe when she calms down, she will know her mistakes and admit it bravely.

At the age of 23, she's not a child, but still have so much to learn just as us.
Believe her and she will grow up soon.

You guys don't even know what the illness is. or who has it. It may not even be Avril that it is ill. It could be Boy's Like Girls or some of her band members or her dancers. Why believe Perez Hilton - you know what he tries to do to Avril's reputation and not just hers either, so many other celebrities reputations as well. Avril's probably going to end up explaining everything in the end anyway so that's what I'm counting on.

April Lavigne "postponed" her San Diego concert tonight.

Perezious reader Jeff tells us that excessive partying could be the main reason why she can't play in San Diego this evening.

He shares with us:

"Avril and Boys Like Girls (Avril's support band) played here (in Vegas) last night at the Palms…yesterday afternoon (at a private performance before the big show) the lead singer of Boys Like Girls Martin Johnson said, "We (he & Avril) got so wasted last night in her suite." He told us how she (Avril) had a bowling alley in her suite and that they "went shot (alcohol) for shot all night long." Even at the show last night, in front of her very young audience, she claimed that she was "hung-over" from drinking so much the night before. I think that is one of the many reasons she bucked the San Diego show…"

So responsible. Promoting drinking to the tweens in the audience.

Since the San Diego show got postponed, should fans be concerned about the other shows being postponed on the 3rd and 4th of may? If so how many days in advance do they make the announcement of a show being postponed? What do the rest of you guys and girls think? Share your thoughts?

Hey - being a fan doesn't mean we should blindly follow some spoiled rock star. Call it as it is, a put-down to her fans. Let's not be zombies.
